Explore the rock cycle in an hands-on way and come out of the class able to identify the basic rock types: sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic. Interact with varying rock samples to better understand the geologic processes that have shaped the Earth in this introductory course. The series will focus on the rock cycle, major rock types, and the geologic features as a primer for being able to identify rock types in your backyard.
During the Geology Field day, you will be utilizing the knowldge synthesized during the Geology Series and head onto the trail to put your skills in action.

Participants will need appropriate clothing, Journal and writing utensil for the field day. NOT REQUIRED: Gloves and field guides (this will be avialable that day but you are welcome to bring your own if you want).
You are welcome to attend the Field Day if you have attended ANY of the Geology Series classes.
