Medical consultant and classical music supporter Dennis Wentz, MD, joins journalist and OLLI volunteer Marjorie Smith in conversation. They will discuss the idea that classical musicians are essential workers in an age of pandemic, economic disruption, and political schisms, particularly in a small city like Bozeman. Dr. Wentz hopes the audience will contribute their ideas to the conversation.

A gastroenterologist by training, Dennis Wentz spent much of his career in continuing medical education. He consults nationally and internationally as a principal at WentzMiller Global Services, LLC. Since moving to Bozeman in 2010, Dennis and his wife Anne, also an MD, have been very involved in the local classical music scene. He served as president of Intermountain Opera Bozeman and the Montana Chamber Music Society boards. Dr. Wentz is connected to MSU as a member of the External Advisory Committee for the MSU Honors College.Academic Technology and Outreach
