- Week 1: What IS online teaching and what it’s NOT
- Week 2: The online instructor: not a transplanted classroom teacher
- Week 3: The online student: connected, but easily lost
- Week 4: The learning management system: learning the ins and outs
- Week 5: Creating the course content: NOT uploaded lectures
- Week 6: Up and running for Day 1
Meeting Place and Times
Participants login to the course at a time of day that best fits their schedule. It is necessary to connect at least 3 - 5 times per week and spend 3 - 6 hours per week while the course is in session to stay current and successfully complete this course.
Time Commitment
3-6 hours per week. If you are unfamiliar with this field of study and/or method of delivery, you may require more time.

Continuing Education Credit

6 - 16 grade teachers (or informal educators) with a desire to learn the key concepts of online teaching and learning.
Certificates of completion will be awarded to those who successfully fulfill all of the requirements of the course.
CEUs (Continuing Education Units) and OPI (Montana Office of Public Instruction) renewal units are available upon request at no extra charge.
