The United States of America has often been starkly divided. But not always. We will explore four historical stories of pivotal unity, the embers of which yet simmer deep within our national conscience. They still have the potential to bring Americans together in ways largely abandoned or forgotten. A more united America remains elusive. However, the possibility is real, and it is waiting for us to reimagine past transformative currents to bridge our times' chasms.
