Unhealthy lifestyle choices account for up to 80% of chronic diseases and 40% of all cancers. Lifestyle Medicine (LM) has the power to prevent, treat and often reverse these health issues by focusing on the six main pillars of health: whole-food, plant-predominant diet, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances and positive social connections. LM can also lay the foundation for a transformed and sustainable healthcare system.
