Learn about the National Wildlife Refuge System and the Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge in southwest Montana. This session will also cover management duties on the refuge, the process to become a refuge manager and the refuge's Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP). Time permitting, the refuge's flora and fauna, biological and ecological processes, geography, and weather and climate will also be discussed.

Cortez Rohr
Cortez Rohr is the current deputy refuge manager at Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge. His duties include wildlife biologist, heavy equipment operator, visitor services specialist, range technician and specialist, and administrator of various programs. He has worked in multiple states and Canada performing biological and wildlife duties. In addition, he has worked for the National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Forest Service, Rocky Mountain Research Station, Illinois Department of Natural Resources and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
