How do I create a new user account?

You must have an account with Academic Technology and Outreach to register for courses online. Creating an account gives you online access to enroll in courses, view your registration history, change your address and more.

How do I register for a course?

  1. Look Up Course - look up the course you want to enroll in on our Course Listing page.

  2. Add to Enrollment Cart - click the "Enroll Yourself" or "Enroll Someone Else" button on the Course Information page to start the registration process.

  3. Logon - log on to the system. (If you do not have an account, click "Create Account.")

    • Note: if you're already logged on, this step will be skipped.

  4. Select Course Fees - if necessary, select the course fee options (i.e. select registration fee, add optional fees).

  5. Supplemental Data - some courses require additional registration information (i.e. T-Shirt size, meal preference, etc.). If your course does, enter it now.

  6. Add More Courses - if you are enrolling in other courses, click the "Save to Cart and Add More Courses" button and repeat steps 1, 2, 4 and 5. Otherwise, continue to step 7.

  7. Proceed to Checkout - once you have added all the desired courses to your Enrollment Card and filled out any necessary additional information, click the "Proceed to Checkout" button.

  8. Checkout - enter your information and then click the "Submit Payment" button.

  9. Make Payment - On the "Payment Amount" page, click "Continue." Enter your information and then click "Continue." Review the information you entered. Click "Confirm."

    ***Important Note: The Wait page will display while the system is waiting for credit card approval. DO NOT move away from this page (click your Back button, select another URL, etc.) until the process is completed. If you do, the approval process may abort and you WILL NOT be enrolled in the course.

  10. Registration Confirmed - the Registration Confirmation page opens, notifying you that you are enrolled in the course(s). The system will send a confirmation email with registration specifics to your email address. At this time, you can safely log off the system.

  • American Express

Sorry, Montana State University P-cards are not accepted.

What methods of payment do you accept over the phone?

We accept:

Please register by calling (406) 994-6550 or (800) 435-1286 (toll-free) between 8 am and 5 pm Mountain Time, Monday through Friday.

Do you accept checks?

You may pay by check by either mailing in a registration form to PO BOX 173860, Bozeman, MT 59717-3860 or by registering in person at our office, 128 Barnard Hall – Montana State University Campus.

Do you accept Montana State University P-cards?

Sorry, due to MSU policy, we are unable to accept Montana State University P-cards.

What is the cancellation policy if I am unable to attend?

Cancellations before the course or conference begins will be assessed a processing fee. There will be no refunds after the course or conference begins. Occasionally programs have special refund policies which are stated in the course description.

How do I cancel a registration?

You cannot cancel a registration online. To cancel a registration, you must contact:

What do I do if I've lost my password?

Request that your password to be sent to your email address on our Lookup Password page.

How can I find out what courses I'm registered in?

To see a list of courses in which you are enrolled, visit Registration History and click the appropriate button:

  • Upcoming Courses - a list of your upcoming courses with dates and location
  • Completed Courses - a list of completed courses
