The saying goes that "genealogy without documentation is mythology." This workshop, a One Book Belgrade tie-in event with the book The Last Green Valley, will cover beginning genealogy, including finding your ancestors and documenting their lives and life events. The speaker will discuss different resources, both free and fee-based, to research your family history. She will also dive into various methods of research. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops. The Belgrade Community Library will also provide several laptops participants can use during this workshop.

Refreshments at 5:30 p.m.

This collaborative community event is presented by OLLI at MSU and the Belgrade Community Library, with sponsorship by Martel Construction, and is free and open to the public.
