Description
Spark fresh drafts and discover core ideas: we'll write in-session, share writings, and hear responses. Learn an organic method of writing, which helps you tap into the brilliance of your unconscious mind. We focus on the moment you first put words on the page. Structure and fresh language emerge from the earliest lines. Open to all levels and genres: journals, fiction, poetry, essays, field notes and experimental pieces.
Space is limited to 12 people.
Course Takeaways
Participants will learn how to generate writing that is rich with possibility, starting from the blank page. Participants learn how to recognize their best ideas in the first drafts, but also how to find the same in the writings of other students and authors. The course emphasizes close reading, creating a writing practice, and using writing as a way of discovering or thinking about something. The instructor, Ilona Popper, teaches her copyrighted method.
