Weatherization Crew Leader prepares the trainee to be a Weatherization Crew Leader under the guidelines of DOE's Weatherization Assistance Program. Trainees are thoroughly trained in project, worker, and safety-management issues they will encounter on the job. The course follows the Department of Energy's standardized curriculum for Crew Leader and aligns with the NREL Job Task Analysis for Crew Leader.

Crew Leader training incorporates topics such as Role of the Crew Leader, Ongoing Training, Understanding Work Orders, Safe Work Practices/OSHA, Building and Safety Codes, Equipment Tracking and Maintenance, Warehousing, and Maintaining Quality Control. The structure of the course includes lecture, dialogue, and practical demonstrations in lab situations.

Montana Weatherization Network members may take this course, and any relevant exam(s), at no cost. Use the MT WAP Registration option to register with a $0 fee.
