Women have played a significant role in the war effort throughout the decades. From victory gardens and operating telephones to becoming Airforce Service Pilots, Rachel Philips of the Gallatin County Historical Society will talk about the stories of Gallatin County women helping both on the home front and the front line. This presentation is a tie-in to the One Book Belgrade Community Read.
Refreshments at 5:30 p.m.
This collaborative community event is presented by OLLI at MSU and the Belgrade Community Library, with sponsorship by Martel Construction, and is free and open to the public.
There is a 50-person registration cap. Advance registration is recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.

Rachel Phillips
Rachel Phillips grew up in Bozeman and received a bachelor's degree in history with a minor in museum studies from Montana State University in 2006. She joined the staff at the Gallatin History Museum in 2008. In her current role as the Museum's research coordinator, Rachel manages the research library, helps to assemble the Gallatin History Quarterly magazine, and enjoys finding interesting stories in the Museum's archives.
