Artist and educator Ruth King will lecture about glass, focusing on her teaching philosophy and artistic expression with glass and on the curious, paradoxical, scientific and mythologic nature of glass.

Ruth King
Ruth King is an associate professor and Chair of Fine Arts and Emerick Art Studios Supervisor at the University of Montana-Western. With an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design, Ruth lectured and taught at schools, conferences, and workshops nationally and in places such as Australia, Japan, Great Britain, Canada, Norway and Sweden. In addition, she maintains a studio as an artist in Dillon, Montana. She teaches all levels of glass and all methods, including scientific, kiln casting, glass blowing and hot glass sculpting.
