Hollywood first discovered Montana long before you or I were born. The popularity grew when they filmed Little Big Man in 1970. Since then, film, movies, TV and commercials increasingly used Montana as a backdrop. Tina Buckingham will discuss the history of filmmaking in Montana and her 50-year film career. Beginning as an extra and production assistant, she worked her way up to location scout for A River Runs Through It and casting director for over 40 movies and 40 commercials. Most recently, she worked on the film Rust and the TV series 1923. She has worked with the Montana Film Office and on her own to promote filming in Montana.
