Since 2004, this group has held lively discussions of provocative books from around the world, including classic and contemporary literary fiction, timely nonfiction, and occasional works of epic poetry and drama.
January 2: The Time of Doves by Merce Rodoreda (Spanish)
February 6: Independent People by Halldór Laxness (Icelandic)
March 6: Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston (African American)
April 3: Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro (320 pages) (British Japanese)
May 1: The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera (Czech)
June 5: The Puttermesser Papers by Cynthia Ozick (256 pages) (Jewish American)
Free and open to all OLLI at MSU members. Registration is required.
Members are welcome to attend all or select book discussion months. Obtaining books is the responsibility of each participant.
