Raison D'être - Rachmaninov + Plutonia

Join OLLI at MSU for a live open rehearsal of the Rachmaninov portion of Raison D'être Dance Project's June performance of "Rachmaninov + Plutonia," complete with the 40-piece orchestra, guest pianist and guest conductor. Following the rehearsal, the co-artistic directors will host a Q&A session about the production, discussing choreography, costumes, company, etc.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn:

• Behind-the-scenes information about what it takes to put on a production with an entire dance company and full orchestra;
• Insights into the choreographic process of contemporary ballet;
• Interesting facts about Rachmaninov as a composer; and
• Ways to encourage new and diverse audiences to experience both classical and contemporary dance and music styles.

P&P's are a collaborative program offered to OLLI at MSU and MSU Retiree Association members.
