Description
This course reviews grammar fundamentals in a hands-on, engaging manner. Topics covered include the eight parts of speech, frequently confused terms (such as clauses versus phrases), sentence diagramming, and commonly misused English language writing conventions (such as the comma and semicolon). Participants will re-examine their grammar understandings, and we'll de-mystify the G-word in the process. Prepare to have fun and learn!
Course Takeaways
Participants will revisit grammar and English language content that they probably learned in school but might have yet to think about as a subject of scrutiny. They will discover the logic and structure of English and see how the various sentence components work together. Most importantly, those in attendance will experience how grammar fundamentals can be practiced with simple, fun activities.
