Description
The America Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course is a hands-on, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive. Instruction is aided with short AHA topical videos. Topics covered include first aid, choking, stroke, adult/child/infant CPR and using an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely, timely and effectively. The course involves hands-on skills practice sessions with manikins and simulations and is designed for anyone with little or no medical training. An optional completion certificate will be available.
Course Takeaways
After course completion, participants will have further knowledge of cardio events and the skillset to perform CPR and be prepared for emergencies in any setting. Participants will receive a course completion card valid for two years.
