Looking at "great" buildings throughout history, we will learn about architectural principles and the importance of materials, technology and patronage. Each week we will examine one or two important structures and innovation's role in any building, no matter its historical origins.
The National Resource Center for Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes (Osher NRC) is offering this presentation in collaboration with Northwestern University School of Professional Studies.

Nancy McAfee is an art historian who spent 18 years at the Cleveland Museum of Art as an educator and community outreach director.?She has a B.A. from Cornell and an M.A. in art history from Case Western Reserve University.
