Examine excerpts of letters written to and from Montana between 1810 and 1889, emphasizing those with Gallatin County content. The presentation will include biographical information about the letter writers and recipients before and after the letters.
Refreshments at 5:30 p.m.
This collaborative community event is presented by OLLI at MSU and the Belgrade Community Library, with sponsorship by the Belgrade Community Library Foundation, and is free and open to the public.
There is a 50-person registration cap. Advance registration is recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.

Ken Hamlin
Ken Hamlin was a wildlife research biologist for Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks from 1974 to 2008. He conducted field research on mule deer, coyotes, elk and wolves, with numerous authored or co-authored professional articles, books, book chapters and public presentations. In retirement, he has written two books on Montana history, over twenty articles for "Gallatin History Quarterly" and given multiple public presentations.
