Description

Mindfulness is "a tool for one's toolbox" for health-filled living. Mindfulness skills, including paying attention to our bodies, breathing and the sounds around us, reduce stress, anxiety and depression and increase happiness and empathy for others. This course will be taught by a skilled instructor from the Montana Mindfulness Project who will instruct and lead basic mindfulness and meditation practices.

This program is generously underwritten by Bozeman Health Hillcrest Senior Living. This program is limited to 15 Hillcrest resident and 15 OLLI member participants. Hillcrest residents, please contact Hillcrest Senior Living to register.

Diane Kersten

Instructor Diane Kersten is trained in mindfulness-based stress reduction. She is a long-time mindfulness practitioner and instructor for the Montana Mindfulness Project (MPP) in Bozeman, which teaches mindfulness to youth and adults in the Gallatin Valley and beyond. She has a master's in social work and taught mindfulness at the Billings Clinic in Billings, where she worked for 37 years in clinical, administrative and research positions.
