The OLLI at MSU Non-Fiction Book Discussion Group engages participants in stimulating discussions of a wide range of non-fiction titles. Members are welcome to attend any session of interest or all sessions; consistent attendance may enhance your experience but is not necessary. Listed below are the Fall 2025 books selected by a committee of OLLI non-fiction readers.

  • September 15: Short Nights of the Shadow Catcher by Timothy Egan
  • October 20: The Crazies: The Cattleman, the Wind Prospector, and a War Out West by Amy Gamerman
  • November 17: A Fever in the Heartland: The Ku Klux Klan's Plot to Take Over America, and the Woman Who Stopped Them by Timothy Egan
  • January 19: Who Is Government by Michael Lewis
  • February 16: The Hollow Crown: Shakespeare on how Leaders Rise, Rule, and Fall by Eliot A Cohen
  • Additional books to be chosen by the group.

Free and open to all OLLI at MSU members. Registration is required.

Members are welcome to attend all or select book discussion months. Obtaining books is the responsibility of each participant.
