Description
Self-driving vehicles have been promised to cut road deaths, aid mobility, and lower transportation costs. This event will discuss the technological and regulatory challenges of self-driving vehicles in real-world environments, the approaches taken by various entities and the deployment status of fleets.

Sean Spillane
Dr. Sean Spillane is a program manager at the Montana Photonics and Quantum Alliance, where he leads a government-funded effort to develop a state-of-the-art integrated photonic ecosystem capability in Montana. He previously was a lead engineer at Aurora Innovation, the leading provider of self-driving autonomous trucking. At Aurora, he developed their proprietary lidar technology to enable safe autonomous trucking operations at highway speeds.
