Description
Experience the magic of ballet in a unique, insider's look at MBC's professional production of The Sleeping Beauty. Attendees will observe a working rehearsal, gaining a rare behind-the-scenes perspective on how dancers, choreographers, designers and musicians collaborate to bring this beloved fairytale ballet to life on stage.
Space is limited to 35 people.

Rebecca Berke majored in ballet education at the University of Utah, where she danced with Ballet Ensemble and the Utah Light Opera Company. She began teaching in California in 1975. She opened and directed Ballet and Theatre Arts in Danville, CA, from 1983 to 2006. She also founded and directed the Danville Ballet Company for pre-professional dancers. She then went on to direct the Professional Ballet Training Program for Community Arts in Walnut Creek, CA. Most recently, she was the associate director of the Diablo Ballet School. Rebecca teaches master classes in Mindfulness for Dancers, Aspects of Technique and Artistry, Character Dance, Dance History's The New Chapter and Sanctuary Self.
She is committed to training dancers in the art of dance, as well as providing them with an understanding of their bodies and how they can be utilized with respect and dignity to express their strength and beauty in their art form.
Rebecca is also a board-certified hypnotherapist, mindfulness teacher and coach.
