Description

Join MSU professor and comedian Hunter Lloyd for a relaxed, story-driven tour of today's robotics and AI. With live robot demos, short videos and plenty of jokes, he'll demystify how sensors, vision and simple algorithms make machines seem "smart," and where they fall short. In a friendly, jargon-free style, Hunter shares classroom and club demos, as well as simple ways to fall in love with the robots-perfect for curious audiences and grandparents exploring tech with kids.

Program Takeaways

Participants will:

  • Be entertained by live robot demos that reveal, in plain English, how machines sense, move and decide.
  • Distinguish what AI/robotics can truly do today versus marketing hype using humorous, real-world examples.
  • Understand everyday impacts and boundaries: privacy, safety, jobs and where humans remain essential.
  • Leave with conversational confidence and a few fun stories to share with kids and grandkids.
Fee:  $0.00
