Visit the Indreland Audubon Wetland Preserve, Montana's largest enhanced and restored wetland. Learn about the history of this unique urban wetland and the details of its ongoing restoration. Gain a full understanding of the mechanics and importance of wetlands and the role they play within our watershed. This HIM is hosted by the Gallatin Watershed Council, with guest speakers from Sacajawea Audubon Society and Confluence Consulting. This event requires walking on gravel trails and prolonged standing. Although some shade will be provided via canopy tents, please be prepared for Montana weather, and bring water.
The group will meet at the northwest corner of N Broadway Ave and E Main St.
Registration is required and space is limited to 25 people.
Open only to members of OLLI at MSU or the MSU Retiree Association.

Brooke Helstrom is the program coordinator for the Gallatin Watershed Council (GWC). GWC is a nonprofit in Bozeman, Montana that guides collaborative watershed stewardship in the Gallatin Valley for a healthy and productive landscape. GWC supports sustainability and the health of the Lower Gallatin Watershed through collaborative partnerships, community education, restoration efforts and individual empowerment.Heather Priest
Heather Priest is a member of the Big Sky Watershed Corps (BSWC), a program of the Montana Conservation Corps. BSWC members work throughout Montana during a year-long extensive experience gaining first-hand skills with resource management, community engagement and education.Loreene Reid
