Join lifelong learners to support the team of your choice in advance of the "Brawl of the Wild" football game. Fans will enjoy a presentation by Hal Stearns on the history of this cross-state rivalry, including historical stories about both teams. A donation to the "Can the Griz" food drive is appreciated at the time of admittance. Donations will be tallied to determine a MOLLI versus OLLI at MSU donation champion. Arrive early to meet Champ and enjoy a social with coffee and tea. This is a face-to-face event with the live MOLLI presentation shared onsite via Zoom.

Hal Stearns

Hal Stearns, a Montana native, historian and storyteller, has a deep love for all things "Montana." His Montana roots include Swedish homesteaders, cattle ranchers and small-town newspaper owners. He taught high school students in Missoula and Wiesbaden, Germany, undergraduates at Montana State University and graduate students at the University of Montana (UM). He has a bachelor's degree from Notre Dame, as well as a master's and doctoral degree from UM. He retired as a Montana Army National Guard brigadier general.
