Mimi Babe Harris

Mimi Babe Harris became a full-time sculptor in Roanoke, Virginia, in 1980. She has exhibited in both private and public collections across the Mid-Atlantic region. In 2005, she moved to Bozeman to be closer to family, continuing her passion for art. "Art work is happy work," she says.

Susan Dana

Susan Dana is professor emerita of business law at MSU, where she taught for 25 years and served as associate dean and interim dean. She has taught OLLI courses on the First Amendment and the law of privacy, and authors a blog on constitutional law issues. She is also chair of OLLI's Advisory Council. Despite her focus on law, her first love is ancient history and mythology, and she majored in classics in college.

Sharon Eversman

Sharon Eversman is a retired MSU biology and botany professor from MSU, keeping active botanically with the Montana Native Plant Society. She is chair of the OLLI Curriculum Committee, a docent at the Museum of the Rockies, and was for many years a violinist with the Bozeman Symphony.

Linda Gabel

After participating in the early days of hot air ballooning, Linda Gabel spent 25 years as a university administrator. At age 60, she left that work to start a business providing in-home services for seniors in Fort Collins, Colorado. She moved to Bozeman in 2018 to be closer to her daughter and granddaughters.

Jeff & Sara King

Jeff and Sara King have been OLLI members since 2012 and OLLI volunteers since 2019. Jeff retired after 45 years as a residential contractor, and Sara from nearly 30 years at MSU. They enjoy traveling, the outdoors and antique vehicles. They are most content when combining the three activities into a single hobby.

Stephen Maly

Stephen Maly started his work in Montana at MSU's 49th Parallel Institute. He spent over a decate at the Montana Legislature, where he was a research analyst. At Helena Civic TV, he hosted live shows and produced documentary programs. Since retiring and moving to Bozeman in 2020, Stephen has crafted global civics courses and related presentations for OLLI.

Jerry Nielsen

Jerry Nielsen was a professor at MSU for 40 years, studying soils and plant ecology. He focused his scholarly activities on Montana soils-their characteristics, attributes, formation, distribution and relationships. For a few years, he taught at Kabul University in Afghanistan, where he started a College of Agriculture supported by the University of Wyoming.

John Sackett, PhD

John Sackett is a nuclear engineer who worked on advanced reactor development for the University of Chicago at Argonne National Laboratory. He retired from the laboratory as an associate director and became a partner in a startup company designing a small nuclear power plant to be built in New Brunswick, Canada. He has also been a private pilot for 62 years.
