This course takes a practitioner's look at the art of online instruction. Using many of the current pedagogical approaches of online instruction, students in this course will be introduced to more advanced features and strategies of online instruction. These strategies include, but are not limited to, the expanded features of learning management systems; using supportive technologies such as podcasting, webinars, ZOOM and other applications; and gamification options. Course assignments include readings, and online discussion and reflection as an online instructor. Students in the course can expect a highly active, fully engaging, and professionally stimulating class session each week.
