In the news, have you heard that a particular food is good for you only to find out the next day it is bad? This is certainly confusing and frustrating. But why does this happen? This presentation will examine the past to understand the present state of nutrition research with a chance to practice applying information learned during the session.

Melissa Wyatt is an Intern with the Montana Dietetic Internship (MDI) program at Montana State University. Before the internship, she was a Cooperative Extension Agent in Arizona for six years working in the family and consumer sciences program area. Melissa is from Arizona and has attended the University of Arizona (Nutritional Sciences) and Northern Arizona University (English-Professional Writing). She enjoys sharing her knowledge of nutrition.
