In 2022, Yellowstone National Park celebrates 150 years as the world's first national park, a place known as Wonderland that still amazes and awes visitors. This course will explore Yellowstone's early years and enduring mystique and examine the park's influence on the national and world stage. Along the way, you will meet colorful characters, encounter astonishing stories, and gain a new appreciation for the land of intrigue and wonder in our backyard.

Bruce Gourley
Bruce T. Gourley holds a Ph.D. in history from Auburn University and is the author of eight books. His current book project examines religion and American presidents and is expected to be published in 2021 or 2022. He is a sought-after public speaker and has taught and worked in administration at the college level, served as the executive director and/or on the boards of several history non-profit organizations, and is currently the general editor of the "Yellowstone History Journal."
