In 2022, Yellowstone National Park celebrates 150 years as the world's first national park, a place known as Wonderland that still amazes and awes visitors. This course will explore Yellowstone's early years and enduring mystique and examine the park's influence on the national and world stage. Along the way, you will meet colorful characters, encounter astonishing stories, and gain a new appreciation for the land of intrigue and wonder in our backyard.

Bruce Gourley
Bruce Gourley is a historian (Ph.D. from Auburn), the editor of "Church & State" magazine (the publication of Americans United for Separation of Church and State) and the author of nine books. Whether you are a casual visitor to the park's roadside attractions, a hiker of the park's backcountry, or have yet to visit Yellowstone, you will glean new insights from the park's storied history that you'll carry with you on your next visit.
