The Yellowstone Writing Project welcomes you to the International Youth Silent Film Festival (IYSFF) Yellowstone Regional, a regional film competition. This competition is part of the IYSFF worldwide film competition, which challenges young filmmakers all under the age of twenty to create a three minute silent film and share their stories around the world: http://www.makesilentfilm.com/

The Yellowstone Regional is open to young filmmakers across the states of Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, and Idaho. Bozeman joins Portland, Oregon; Detroit, Michigan; Denver, Colorado; Adelaide & Melbourne, Australia; Tauranga, New Zealand; and the Middle East as a host city for the regional events happening worldwide. We look forward to sharing our films with you!

Based in the Department of English at Montana State University, the Yellowstone Writing Project is comprised of teachers who write and writers who teach. YWP offers teachers immersive professional development experiences, hosts an annual writing conference, and sustains a community of writers. YWP celebrates student writing and students as authors, particularly with the Youth Writing Camp and Rural Journalism Camp.
