Joan Hoff is Research Professor of History at MSU. A specialist in the American presidency, U.S. foreign policy and politics, and women’s legal history, she is the former Director of the Contemporary History Institute at Ohio University, former Director of the Center for the Study of the Presidency in New York and former Executive Director of the Organization of American Historians. Her latest book, Faustian Foreign Policy from Woodrow Wilson to George W. Bush, was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. Other books include: Nixon Reconsidered; Herbert Hoover: Forgotten Progressive; Law, Gender and Injustice: A Legal History of U.S. Women; and Ideology and Economics. |
