Terence Barrett Terence W. Barrett, PhD, a Cleveland, Ohio, native, graduated from the College of Wooster and earned advanced degrees from the University of Southern California, North Dakota State University, and the University of North Dakota. He served seven years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was activated for duty during Desert Storm in 1991 while serving with the North Dakota Air National Guard. He retired from military service after twenty years. A licensed psychologist in Fargo, North Dakota, he teaches psychology courses at North Dakota State University and is a clinical consultant at the Fargo Vet Center. He is the former charter president of the North Dakota Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. He is the author of Life After Suicideand a series of four books about heroic bravery.
