The OLLI at MSU Non-Fiction Book Discussion Group engages participants in stimulating discussions of a wide range of non-fiction titles. Members are welcome to attend any session of interest or all sessions; consistent attendance may enhance your experience but is not necessary. Listed below are the Fall 2025 books selected by a committee of OLLI non-fiction readers.

  • January 19: Who Is Government? The Untold Story of Public Service by Michael Lewis
  • February 16: The Hollow Crown: Shakespeare on how Leaders Rise, Rule, and Fall by Eliot A Cohen
  • March 16: In My Time of Dying: How I Came Face to Face with the Idea of an Afterlife by Sebastian Unger
  • April 20: The Path Between the Seas: The Creation of the Panama Canal 1870 - 1914 by David McCullough
  • May 18: The Wager: A Talke of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder by David Gann

Free and open to all OLLI at MSU members. Registration is required.

Members are welcome to attend all or select book discussion months. Obtaining books is the responsibility of each participant.
